A Pacer train in Tyne and Wear colours leaves Burneside for Staveley. There was a delightful randomness about train liveries on the Branch in late British Rail days.

Recent winters have not usually been very snowy.  The 09:37 from Windermere seen on 13th December 2015.  This train is passing the open fields between Burneside and Kendal.

 At Oxenholme passengers hurry to board the Lakes Line train which has just arrived from Windermere.

 Visitors about to get to know the Lake District by bike, using bikes from the Country Lanes Cycle Hire depot at Windermere station.

January 2017. Northern's 156 144 forming the 10:29 from Preston to Windermere enters Oxenholme station along the new, faster approach track installed in spring 2016. June 18th 2018.  The first timetabled train run by West Coast Railways waits at Oxenholme. This was the start of two hectic weeks of 'heritage' trains running some services while Northern provided buses, as their own timetable was in meltdown.

8th October 2018.  An Oxenholme-bound train approaches Bowston Farm on a bright Autumn day..
